Now, we go to the third day of the creation. The day when something dry appeared. Before we start, are you familiar with the song Way Maker by Leeland? The song declares that our God is the way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, and light in the darkness. It is also one thing God reveals Himself about in the chronicle of the earth. God is the way Maker.

God is the Way Maker

In day 2 of creation, God has separated the waters under and above the expanse. Now He spoke to the lower water to be gathered so that the dry ground appears. The angels were probably raising their eyebrows (if they do have) thinking what would God do by showing a dry place on earth, will He create water creatures? There’s none yet. But the next thing the universe heard from God was:

Oh, so that’s what the dry land was for! It’s for the trees that bear fruit to grow on the earth. Look how the LORD has made a plan and orderly work for it! He was not rushing to fill the waters with creatures as we might have thought, because God saw beyond the future and thought far ahead of what our minds could grasp. Vegetations that God created were the ones that produce fruits and seeds in them, foods for mankind and animals He has not created just yet. Can you see that God was making a new way for His plans? Before growing trees, God made the land dry. Before making animals and human, God created foods to sustain them. God did not rush to the final chapter, He was creating a way so that everything He was to create could go through the way He has prepared. God is the way maker.

God is the Provider

After making the path, God let His way walk through it. The plants that carry fruits and seeds grew from the dry land. God made the food system completely to provide the next creation and to sustain them.

Isn’t that amazing to see that God provides the basic needs of His creation even before they exist? Where God commands, He provides. Even in the New Testament when Jesus taught the disciples to pray, He put the daily bread as a prayer item earlier than to “Lead us not into temptation.” Because when we see that He is the God that provides even before mankind was created, we could believe that He will lead us away from anything bad. Food is spiritual, y’all.. Still in the same passage, Jesus told His disciples to seek God’s kingdom first before everything else, and any other things that the world seek will be given.

Seeing how God cares for the ones He creates should help us believe that He will not leave us alone. There is a God that cares, that answers when we call, and gives when we ask.

Thank you for reading this article, I hope you feel blessed as I do! I would be glad to hear your story about God and all His goodness. I am currently getting back on my track to write weekly post (hopefully more in the future). Let’s connect and so I could hear your story too about the goodness of God!
